Katrina Tales contains three songs written and performed by No Regrets that are being used as the soundtrack for the Katrina related DVD currently being produced.  The DVD will accompany the release of Cary Black’s book, Tales of Katrina: A Freight Train Screamin’.  The songs are also presented on the full length CD, Out of the Storms.

“It Is What It Is!!!” represents a temporary departure for the band from working on the Katrina project.  No Regrets had written a hand full of non-Katrina related songs that they wanted to incorporate into a separate CD, though they ended up including several modified cuts from the Katrina CD’s.

The CD demonstrates the unique and refreshing “No Regrets” sound.  It reflects the evolution the No Regrets song writing process.  The band’s developing sound begins to shine on It Is What It Is!!!

 Throughout the evolution of the Katrina projects, the members of “No Regrets” have brought each of their own musical influences together to create a blend of sound unlike anything on the radio today!When asked what kind of musical category “No Regrets” represents…the answer is simply…”No Regrets” music.  An eclectic blend of progressive/folk/jazz rock with a twist of the Southern and formal European sounds…”No Regrets” music!!

Katrina Tales: Out of the Storms is being released for the anniversary of the tragic coming of Hurricane Katrina.  The album brings a theme of tragedy, and the hope, perseverance, love and tenacity that the souls of the Gulf Cost have shown.  The songs were written as a soundtrack for the DVD accompanying the book, “Tales of Katrina: A Freight Train Screamin’”, and often are the emotive backdrop for the searing images and video footage used in the video production.  15% of the sales of the Out of Storms CD are slated to be donated to the Community Center of St. Bernard, St. Bernard Parish, Arabi, LA.

The Community Center of St. Bernard, (http://www.ccstb.org/contact/index.html) under the direction of Iray Nabatoff has become a community focal point and resource for a community completely destroyed by Katrina.  Since Katrina things have been coming back slowly, but still to his day three years later, the affects of her wrath still leave a majority of residents in FEMA trailers, and wrecked houses and businesses.  “No Regrets” encourages donations to the center; a proven monument of human integrity, perseverance, and survival.
