Cary Black: President

Mr. Black has worked professionally as a scientist and engineer for over 20 years. He worked for the Institute of Arctic and Alpine Research as a geologist in the geochronology research division for one year before moving on to Dow Chemical where he worked as a technologist and chemist, and then later as a process engineer.  After 11 years at Dow, Mr. Black moved on as a Materials Research Scientist for Gold Star Coatings.  From Gold Star, Mr. Black worked as a contract technical writer for SC Johnson Wax.  Four years ago, Mr. Black took a position at Duro-Last Roofing as the Quality Control/Research and Development Manager for the corporation, a position he currently occupies.

Mr. Black has played music professionally and semi-professionally for over 30 years. He is an avid guitarist and keyboardist, and spends as much time as possible working with the band "No Regrets", a classic rock/original based band. "No Regrets" released their first CD, "Katrina Tales" in April of 2007. They also released two CDs in the summer of 2008: "It Is What It Is..." and "Katrina Tales: Out of the Storms".

Mr. Black is currently working on a new book entitled: Tales of Katrina: A Freight Train Screamin', and anticipates the first print by early 2009.

Additionally, Mr. Black has studied Taekwondo for 24 years.
